A typical day as a
student athlete in the United States

At American universities, every effort is made to ensure that athletes succeed both academically and athletically. In fact, school schedules are arranged so that athletes can train every day, with one day off in the week.

"It's indescribable how much this experience has brought me. Whether socially, athletically or even humanly, I've questioned so many things about my personal projects, my life goals, my vision of athletics, my relationships with friends and family, myself, what I really love and so on... Of course, it hasn't all been good, but it's precisely these difficult moments that have made the experience even more beautiful... This 1st year has made me grow and I'm so grateful to all the people who have approached me from near and far and allowed me to live this..."

"My experience is very good, integration can sometimes be difficult due to the cultural difference and the language barrier but with time it gets better! The sports facilities make for a definite improvement despite the time it takes to adapt. "

"I met wonderful people, learned a new language, discovered new sports and a totally different life from that in France. An autonomy I'd never known before, and time for sport that isn't available to that extent in France. On top of that, we live with sportsmen and women, which makes it easier to maintain a healthy lifestyle and get a good night's sleep, something that wasn't so obvious in France."
