In partnership with the French Federation of American Football, Elite Athletes supports players holding a bachelor’s degree in pursuing opportunities at American universities. Our program enables student-athletes to continue both their academic and athletic careers in the U.S., earn an American university degree, and keep the door open for a professional career in the USA.

Bastien Bouete
Head of the American Football department
Bastien played soccer competitively in Europe until the age of 17 before moving to the United States. There, he developed a passion for American sports and joined the Ankou Rennes club to play American football.
He earned a Master’s degree from Lamar University in Texas while serving on the coaching staff of the university’s NCAA Division I men’s team. During this time, he held the position of Graduate Assistant (GA), specializing in cornerback (CB) training and development.

At Elite Athletes, our aim is to provide our athletes with first-class support covering various aspects, such as administration, law, image and health. As an agency specializing in top-level sport, we are committed to providing quality support to our athletes.
Number of teams
There are approximately 825 American Football college programs in the USA. The NCAA has approximately 670 divided between divisions I, II and III, while the NAIA and NJCAA have approximately 90 and 65 teams, respectively.
Sports scholarships
NCAA Division I and II offer partial and full scholarships. FBS teams can offer up to 85 full scholarships, and FCS teams up to 63 full or partial scholarships. in Division II, teams have 36 scholarships to share. The NAIA and NJCAA also offer scholarships, but in limited numbers.
Media exposure
College American Football, particularly in NCAA Division I FBS, makes use of extensive media exposure by broadcasting games on channels such as ESPN, ABC and FOX. Important games, such as bowl games and the College Football Playoff, attract millions of viewers. Lower divisions receive less national coverage, but remain visible locally.
Sports facilities
American universities, especially in NCAA Division I, invest heavily in state-of-the-art sports infrastructure. Some have stadiums that can accommodate more than 100 000 spectators, as well as modern training centers with weight rooms, swimming pools, and medical facilities dedicated to athletes.
Graduation
Student athletes, particularly in NCAA Division I, have a particularly high graduation rate. This reflects the different programs' commitment to academic and athletic success.
NFL Draft
College American Football players, primarily from Division I programs, have many opportunities to excel and advance to a professional level. Each year, approximately 250 players are selected in the Draft, the majority from Division I FBS teams, which form the main talent pool for the NFL. Although competition is fierce and only a small percentage of college athletes reach the NFL, top-tier programs offer increased exposure, opportunities to improve their skills, and a springboard to a professional career in the league.
